Scooping up some of the soft moonlight
I tenderly lay it over your fevered eyes
to soothe the dizzying gold and green spirals
spinning in restless circles

I’ll weave you a blanket from the gentle night sky
and adorn it with softly flickering stars
to protect you from the biting winds
that howl through your heavy mind

I’ll light a delicate candle
and with my own two hands
I’ll grip the shadow demons
that dart towards your sleeping head
and I’ll burn them to ash
that disintegrate into nothing
